77 Sunset Strip was a detective series that ran on ABC TV from 1958 through 1964. Actor Edd Byrnes played Gerald Lloyd "Kookie" Kookson, a local hipster who eventually joins the detective bureau, who was known for driving his Hot Rod 1922 Ford T-Bucket. The car became known as "Kookie" after the Byrnes character and is one of the most iconic TV cars of all time.
