The goal of Trumpet Records was to record musicians from the Mississippi Delta that did not have access to recording studios in New York City or Los Angeles. They are now known as one of the most important and critical record labels in Blues history The label formed out of a furniture shop, turned Record Shop in 1951 and sadly closed down in 1956. They were the first label to record the great Sonny Boy Williamson. One of the side musicians playing with Sonny Boy Williamson at that time was Elmore James (at that time known as Elmo James) and he recorded his first record there, the iconic Dust My Broom.
Please note: All Record Label merchandise is created using ORIGINAL SCANS of the actual 78 RPM records so the design on the shirt is truly authentic.
